Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7-7, AM or PM)
- Flexible scheduling—published 6 weeks out, block scheduling possible for nights
- Weekend coverage every other weekend
- Holiday shifts included in rotation
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in state of assignment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Med/Tele and at least 1 year in a PCU setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven comfort titrating and managing Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin drips
- Competency in dysrhythmia recognition and strip interpretation (dysrhythmia exam required)
- Ability to float between MedSurg, Tele, and PCU units
- Flexibility to work across both campuses, adapting quickly to new environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent care for geriatric, ortho, and post-procedural cardiac patients
- Independently titrate/drip multiple critical IV medications
- Utilize nurse aids, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively and adapt quickly to unit assignments announced prior to each shift
