Our Graphics department oversees all packaging for the company, (hangers, belly bands, hang tags, call-out tags, etc.), including not just the design but also the photography that will be used. They organize and oversee all photoshoots and retouch the visual assets to add to our finished products. This team handles the end-to-end process, including working with our factories/vendors to get physical samples made, and coordinate approval meetings with cross-functional partners (design, sales, product development, etc.).

We are seeking an Assistant who can help the team with a variety of responsibilities, particularly working on all photo retouching in support of the graphics and ecommerce assets. (Prior experience in this area is required.) In addition, this person will also work on the following job responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing samples and assisting at photoshoots.
  • Oversee all photo retouching and other needed edits.
  • Assist the graphic design department with designing garment hangtags, logos, mock-ups, production approvals and reviewing print layouts.
  • Collaborate with graphic design team to determine the needs for new tags/ look books/ etc.
  • Assist graphic designers on multiple diverse brands at the same time, while following brand guidelines.
  • Organize factory artwork proofs.
  • Weekly store shopping trips for market research.

  Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years related experience including internships.
  • Strong typography skills a must.
  • Self-starter with ability to function independently.
  • Great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Team oriented with ability to multi-task, strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Working knowledge of current trends in design and fashion.
  • Ability to think creatively with a proven ability to problem solve under a tight deadline.
  • Proficient in Adobe CS/CC, knowledge of Flash, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, FTP, and Capture One a plus.
