Radiologic Technologist Cath Lab
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
Shift: Monday Friday | 07:00 AM 7:30 PM | 12-hour shifts (3 days/week)
Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours
On-Call Requirement:

Minimum one night on-call shift per week

Weekend on-call rotation every three weeks
-
30-minute response time required
Position Summary
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic procedures and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Radiology, preferably within a Cath Lab or similar acute care setting

Education: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology

Licensure/Certifications (Required):
-
CRT: Certified Radiologic Technologist State of California
-
CRTFP: California Fluoroscopy Permit
-
ARRT: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required for all employees hired after 8/30/2020)

BLS: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA accredited)

Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare examination rooms and equipment for imaging procedures
-
Position patients appropriately and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure

Administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure accurate imaging techniques

Operate and monitor imaging equipment; adjust settings to ensure diagnostic-quality images

Input data into imaging systems and manage scan sequences

Ensure radiation safety protocols are strictly followed

Communicate findings to the physician and document results accurately

Manage and prioritize daily procedural schedules, including emergency cases
Preferred Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Attention to detail with the ability to multitask under pressure

Familiarity with hospital-based scheduling systems and protocols

Previous travel radiologic technician experience is a plus
