GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for safely transporting goods between warehouse locations and customer sites while assisting with loading, unloading, and basic warehouse duties to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate company vehicle to deliver and pick up products in a timely and professional manner.
• Inspect delivery vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and maintenance compliance.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials at warehouse and delivery locations.
• Verify product counts, delivery instructions, and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain clean and organized vehicle and warehouse space.
• Perform basic warehouse functions, including stocking, labeling, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate any delivery issues or delays to the warehouse or logistics supervisor promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
Team Collaboration
- Work as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate activities.
- Take direction and assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and follow mapped routes. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Good verbal communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Basic math and inventory tracking skills. • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Valid Colorado driver’s license. • Clean driving record required. • DOT Medical Card may be required depending on vehicle weight class. • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
Work Environment:
The work is typically performed in a warehouse setting and on the road while driving. The noise level is moderate to loud. Working conditions include exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and warehouse equipment. Environmental conditions may include exposure to moving vehicles, heavy lifting, sharp objects, and outdoor weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving. • Repetitive movement such as bending, lifting, and loading/unloading materials. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. • May need to climb in and out of delivery vehicles throughout the shift. • Ability to work in varying weather conditions. • Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required based on delivery schedules.
