Job Summary
The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN ensures safety in their practice, embraces evidence-based principles, and is committed to enhancing their own knowledge and that of the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization. Responsibilities include reporting safety concerns, understanding the patient demographic, supervising task delegation, and collaborating with other healthcare providers. The RN is tasked with setting and assessing priorities through measurable interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to individual patient needs.

We are in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
- 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Strong computer proficiency
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited program
- Eligibility for screening certification
- National certification
Scheduling Requirements
- Night Shift, 36 hours per week
Essential Functions
- The RN ensures safety in practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, taking responsibility for their own knowledge and that of the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
- The RN is responsible for reporting safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
- The RN must possess knowledge of the patient population served.
- The RN supervises and directs task delegation among team members and collaborates with other healthcare providers.
- The RN consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
- The RN acts as both an individual practitioner and an interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate care and customize plans to meet specific patient needs.
