CMM Programmer | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using various software.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement issues to ensure accuracy.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports and analyze measurement data.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality engineers to resolve non-conformances.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, probes, and fixtures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Proven experience in CMM operation, programming, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, portable arms)
• Proficiency in CAD design software for fixture creation or inspection planning
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software
• Experience with scripting or automation for CMM software or data analysis
