Seattle’s leading builder of high-end custom homes is seeking an Architect to join its award-winning Architecture Team. This role plays a key part in shaping custom homes across Seattle and the Eastside.
The position is Seattle-based, with a home office preferred, and frequent in-person client meetings required.
Role Snapshot
TCHC is looking for an Architect with experience in custom residential work who can guide clients through design, coordinate drawings and consultants, and prepare complete submittal packages. Each home is unique, and this role is central to ensuring the design process stays clear, organized, and aligned with project goals.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate site conditions and define project requirements
- Work directly with clients throughout the design process
- Establish scope of work and budgets for architectural services
- Prepare schematic designs
- Coordinate and complete working drawings
- Work with structural, civil, rendering, and 3D modeling partners
- Prepare full building permit submittal packages
- Manage required permits through approval
- Attend frequent in-person client meetings

What You Bring
- 5+ years of residential architectural experience, ideally with high-end or custom homes
- Licensed Architect in Washington State
- Strong knowledge of materials, assemblies, and construction methods
- Strong CAD proficiency
- 3D modeling experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Clear communication skills and comfort in client-facing settings
