Location: Shelby Township, MI
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a 3rd Shift Operator to support production in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for running machines, performing quality checks, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Load raw parts into the manufacturing cell.
• Maintain scrap bins, chip hoppers, and machine fluids.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and filter changes.
• Run production parts and CMM programs.
• Inspect parts at required intervals and take corrective actions when needed.
• Record dimensional data and calculate process capability.
• Complete production and downtime reporting.
• Adjust machine processes or change tools based on part measurements or tool schedules.
• Perform titrations and adjust concentrations for coolants and wash solutions.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform basic machine maintenance per operator instructions.
Qualifications
• Effective communication skills with team members.
• Previous high-volume manufacturing or automotive experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
