Job Description: The Supply Technician performs a variety of procurement duties requiring an understanding of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, work methods, or other established guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Places inventory stock replacement item orders as dictated by the work management system's purchase advisory reports and as coordinated with the Deputy Project Manager. Coordinates with the Property Administrator in regulating or making recommendations of "reorder" and "maximum on hand quantity" of stock inventory items
- Coordinates with trade personnel in the identification of proper and correct materials, parts, assemblies, and requirements for a variety of requisitions
- Locates materials, parts, and assemblies, and identifies vendor(s) based on availability of the items(s) and pricing
- Coordinates the purchase and anticipated receiving date of materials, parts, and assemblies in accordance with requisitions received for all types of work documents, warehouse stock reorder, and other pertinent requests
- Performs material coordination duties for all departments in expediting and furnishing current status of supply transactions to include coordination with department supervisors on overdue material(s), tracking the material(s) to expedite anticipated receipt date, or to establish a revised delivery date, to include updating all applicable reports
- Coordinates with management in writing item description(s), assigning category code(s), and assigning inventory stock number(s) for a range of new items entering the material inventory stock number(s) for a range of new items entering the material inventory of the work management system during the purchase order process, consistent with existing procedures
- Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, etc. and to query various computer work systems to extract information concerning projects, materials, or services
- Originates and submits all required month end reports such as inventory valuation and blanket task orders for billing to accounting
- Performs various other duties such as, but not limited to, file maintenance, workspace clean-up, and telephone answering
- Adheres to the established Safety and Personnel policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs other related work as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year procurement (purchasing) experience
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, such as MINCOM, SAP or Maximo
- Advance computer skills in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain military identification
- Training in Procurement Procedures and Policies
- Commanding knowledge of materials and supplies for the maintenance, HVAC, plumbing and electrical trades
- Must be able to design, populate, and submit spreadsheets in a timely fashion to accounting, the government and others as directed
- Must be able to perform accurate and timeliness of purchasing document processing, within own department and other supporting areas
- Must be a self-starter and able to perform assigned work tasks without more than normal supervision
- Ability to drive and safely operate large passenger van
- Experience conducting extensive searches for required information and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric
Identification System (DBIDS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on a government contracts
