Embark on a rewarding short-term contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a school social worker near Plaistow, NH. This part-time assignment spans from late August to early December 2026, covering a maternity leave. The role offers a meaningful way to make an impact in a caring educational environment, providing dedicated support to students in an ED program with a notably small caseload—currently just three children.
In this position, you’ll work part time, two to three days each week, during regular school hours of 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM. Leverage your skills to provide counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring students’ social-emotional growth and well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Valid certification as a school social worker
- Prior experience in educational or school-based settings, especially with emotional and behavioral disorders (ED), strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social-emotional and behavioral support services to students in the ED program
- Coordinate resources and interventions with teachers and families
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Develop and implement strategies for social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with educational teams for thorough, student-centered planning
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
