JOB SUMMARY
The LPN will serve as an on-call resource across all counties to our residential and day habilitation clients and employees for non-urgent medical needs and questions. You will collaborate with other members of the leadership team, Service and Support Administrators (SSAs), and guardians. The delegated nurse is expected to make independent nursing decisions as related to the client as well as delegate and coordinate nursing care by providing training/ certifications to staff. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records as required by Buckeye Residential Solutions and any other governing agency such as DODD, ODHS, and County Case Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide appropriate medical training to staff as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication to all members of the team, which may include service and support administrators (SSAs), day service representatives, and family or legal guardians.
- Adhere to confidentiality guidelines, as outlined by organization policy and HIPPA regulations.
- Serve as on-call support as needed for medical guidance and/or questions relating to our clients.
- Review med administration records as needed.
- Work with Pharmacy and Program Administrators to ensure that all meds are up to date.
- Provide Med Re-Certifications as needed.
- Perform self-med assessments to individuals as needed
- Will correspond with RN oversight as needed
Other Duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work under little supervision.
- Ability to complete and pass a background check per company standards.
- Positive attitude with the desire to help others.
