Our organization is excited to announce an opportunity for a Vice Chair to become part of our dedicated team in Staten Island as we enhance Women's Health services throughout our health system. This position is within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is affiliated with a prestigious medical school.
Established in 1861, our Staten Island facility is a 714-bed specialized teaching hospital situated in one of New York City's most rapidly developing boroughs. With two expansive campuses and several community health centers and laboratories, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to residents of Staten Island, the greater New York metropolitan area, and patients from around the globe.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care across Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby units, Emergency Department, inpatient consultations, and surgical settings, managing both high-risk and routine obstetric and gynecological cases.
- Serve as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team.
- Act as the Safety Officer to ensure adherence to departmental evidence-based protocols and maintain quality metrics.
- Collaborate effectively with residents, Advanced Care Practitioners (ACPs), midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Educational Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the obstetrics and gynecology curriculum for graduate medical education.
- Supervise and mentor residents and medical students during their clinical rotations.
- Engage in Quality Improvement and Safety Initiatives, including simulations.
- Participate in departmental, academic, and hospital committees.
