About the Role

We are seeking a high-level Sr. Engineering Technician to support our Facilities Engineering team. This is a critical role that bridges engineering, construction, and finance. You will be responsible for tracking the lifecycle of our projects—from AFE setup and cost estimation to invoice routing and project close-out.

This is a 7-month Temp-to-Perm opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Lead AFE preparation, entry, and approval tracking; manage accrual updates and GL coding.
• Project Controls: Evaluate cost reports to establish unit pricing for future project estimates and budget forecasts.
• Operational Coordination: Assist with schedule updates and ensure construction teams have the required Purchase Orders (PO) to track deliveries.
• Reporting: Maintain construction and project workload schedules and track cost-related KPIs and manhours.
• Compliance: Assist with Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) revisions.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of industry-related technical support experience.
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Software Mastery: Must be proficient in SAP, Ariba, Power BI, Spotfire, and MS Excel. Experience with DataNow or SiteView is a major plus.
• Travel: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for weekly travel between Midland, Pecos, and Garden City (mileage is reimbursable).
