A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Health Information Clerk in Dayton, OH. This Health Information Clerk position is full-time and offers career growth potential with a state organization. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Health Information Clerk Compensation

The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Health Information Clerk Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

No holidays or weekends
Health Information Clerk Responsibilities

Compile, review, and organize medical reports and charts for accuracy and completeness
-
Type and prepare forms for new admissions and report requests
-
Generate statistical reports such as daily/monthly census, Medicaid days, admissions/discharges

Maintain, file, and retrieve health records and logs
-
Coordinate health information procedures with other departments

Respond to appropriate information requests from records
Health Information Clerk Requirements
-
Proficiency in Excel, scanning, faxing, emailing, and scheduling
-
Strong administrative and organizational skills
-
Minimum of:
-
3 courses or 9 months of experience in records management
-
1 course or 3 months of experience in medical terminology
-
1 course or 3 months of experience in typing
-
OR equivalent experience
-

Must be able to pass a TB test, background check, and drug screening (initiated within 48 hours of accepting the position)

Must clear facility security screening (no cell phones, cans, tobacco, vapes, etc. allowed; food and drinks must be in clear containers)
Health Information Clerk Preferred Qualifications
-
BLS/CPR Certification
-
Experience working with JCAH and Medicare/Medicaid regulations
-
Knowledge of health information technology and confidentiality laws
