Our organization is seeking a dedicated pediatrician to become part of a dynamic team consisting of four pediatricians, one nurse practitioner, and exceptional support staff in the scenic Sierra Foothills. The chosen candidate will integrate into a thriving practice located in a well-equipped medical office, serving a substantial insured patient base. Your main responsibilities will involve supporting an outpatient pediatrics practice, with a limited number of newborn nursery rounds and a few deliveries. Additional compensation will be provided for any deliveries attended.

About the Position

• Join an established Rural Health Clinic in Placerville, affiliated with an independent community hospital.
• This is a full-time role, offering flexibility with a 4 or 5-day work week.
• A typical work week includes 32 hours of direct patient care.
• Full-time employment requires a minimum of 188 workdays per year.
• Average patient load is between 15-18 patients daily.
• Compensation ranges from $304,000 to $377,000.
• Generous call stipend in addition to base salary.

• Call rotation is 1:5 with light and manageable call (35-45 deliveries per month).
• Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and rounding on newborns.
• Occasional ED consults as needed.
• Collaborative work with obstetricians and certified nurse midwives.
• Strong relationships with local children's hospitals.
• Dedicated perinatology unit with a specialized C-section operating room.
• Welcoming nursery environment with a supportive staff.
• Baby-Friendly certified since 2015, with in-house lactation nurses achieving 90-95% exclusive breastfeeding rates at discharge.
• No pediatric admissions required.
• Fully staffed emergency department.
• Utilization of Epic EMR.
• No visa sponsorship available.
