This position offers an excellent opportunity to support student mobility, independence, and physical development within a collaborative, student-centered educational environment.
Position Details:
- Position: Physical Therapist
- Location: Lake County, IL
- Duration: 2025/2026 school year
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, aligned with standard school hours
- Student Population: PreK through Middle School students with diverse physical and learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Conduct evaluations and monitor motor function, mobility, and physical development.
- Collaborate with educators and related service providers to facilitate student access to the educational environment.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation to ensure compliance with special education regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations regarding accommodations and therapeutic strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid Illinois Physical Therapy license (required).
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
