A fast-paced retail pharmacy opportunity is available in Saint Johns, FL, seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a contract role. This position requires a tech experienced in high-volume retail settings, particularly with exposure to HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. Candidates with a proactive approach to pharmacy duties and strong communication skills will thrive in this environment.
Responsibilities include performing typical retail pharmacy tasks such as high-volume data entry and medication dispensing. The ideal candidate must maintain efficiency while ensuring a high level of patient care and support. Working closely with providers and team members is essential to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications efficiently and accurately in a high-volume retail setting
- Conduct high-volume data entry with attention to detail
- Support patients with professionalism and empathy
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff
- Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing operational needs proactively
- Maintain punctuality and a reliable attendance record
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of two years recent high-volume retail pharmacy technician experience
- Documented experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing (even minimal experience must be noted)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pharmacy Technician license valid in Florida
- Proficient with QS1 software or similar pharmacy management systems
- Positive attitude and commitment to excellence in patient care
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
This 8-week contract begins ASAP and may be extended if mutually beneficial. Candidates must be reliable and ready to contribute from day one.
