Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Program Analyst with the curiosity, analytical rigor, and initiative to assess and recommend solutions in rapidly evolving technology and operational domains. The ideal candidate will have experience researching and evaluating new and emerging technologies, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations to team members and senior leadership. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, can work with minimal direction, and can quickly determine the right approach to complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Research & Analysis
- Monitor and evaluate trends in emerging technologies relevant to the organization's mission and operational environment.
- Conduct comparative assessments using multiple reference points, including technical literature, vendor briefings, industry reports, and SME interviews.
- Synthesis & Strategic Recommendations
- Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-makers.
- Develop and present briefings, white papers, and strategic analyses to leadership and stakeholders.
- Program & Operational Support
- Provide expertise in one or more domains, such as strategic business alignment, policy development and implementation, cybersecurity, test and evaluation, contracting, staffing, budget forecasting, acquisition support, supply chain management, or program management.
- Apply analytical, statistical, and/or modeling techniques to define problems, propose solutions, and recommend courses of action.
- Process Improvement & Implementation
- Support the design and refinement of procedures, processes, and techniques based on analysis of data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, task forces, and working groups to align recommendations with mission priorities.
Required Skills:
- Experience & Expertise
- 4+ years of experience in research, analysis, or strategic planning roles, ideally with exposure to emerging technology evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information from diverse sources into cohesive assessments and recommendations.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual reasoning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level briefings and reports.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and execute with minimal guidance.
Preferred Skills and Background:
- Experience supporting government, defense, or technology-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with strategic communications, policy development, or technology adoption strategies.
- Interest in AI/ML and transformative emerging technologies.
- Advanced degree or relevant certification in a related field (e.g., Public Policy, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or similar).
