Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo/Vascular Sonographer with strong skills in adult echocardiography and vascular imaging for an acute care role; license required if applicable.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care hospital setting on the Echo/Vascular Sonographer unit
  • Perform adult echo, stress echo, TEE, and peripheral vascular studies
  • Patient population includes adult inpatients and outpatients
  • Department has 5 scanning rooms and is equipped with Philips Epiq and IE33 machines
  • Utilize Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic), Syngo Dynamics PACS, and Sectra PACS systems
  • 8 hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:30 am and 5:00 pm
  • No routine weekend coverage required, with rare exception for PTO
  • Participate in weeknight on-call rotation with 30 minute call-back requirement
  • No floating to other areas is required
  • Responsibilities include conducting adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and peripheral vascular studies
  • Orientation provided at the facility
  • Any color scrubs are permitted; must be clean and professional
  • On-call holiday coverage is required
  • Cardiologist is in-house for support
  • Starting IVs for contrast imaging is optional, not required
  • Former permanent staff must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
  • Local candidates within 80 miles are eligible but will have a reduced pay rate

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a sonographer in echocardiography and vascular studies
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ARDMS RDCS-AE or CCI (RVT and RDCS) required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR, Syngo Dynamics and Sectra PACS preferred
  • Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
  • License required if applicable and must be active by start date
