Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and part specifications.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times.
• Create detailed tooling sheets, setup instructions, and operational procedures for machine operators.
• Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs during initial runs and production to resolve issues.
• Perform first article inspections and make necessary program adjustments to meet quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360).
• Strong understanding and ability to write and edit G-code and M-code manually.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Proven experience programming multi-axis (3, 4, or 5-axis) CNC milling machines.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, materials, and machining strategies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming and advanced machining strategies.
• Proficiency in fixture design and workholding development.
• Knowledge of CMM programming or advanced metrology for part inspection.
• Ability to modify or develop post-processors for CNC machines.
