Job Title: Social Media Manager
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Director, Digital Content Production
Position Purpose:
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for building a comprehensive social media strategy across owned channels. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, creative and analytical; candidates should have significant experience managing a social team, creating content, a high taste level and a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in automotive, entertainment or lifestyle social content, as well as successful digital-first campaigns.
This role will play a critical role in helping to grow our fanbase, ensure our partners maximize their activations across digital and position us as a best-in-class content team across all of sports. We're looking for a collaborative, proactive and strategic person who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and push the envelope. This person must have a passion for the digital and creative landscape, possessing a strong understanding of consumer behavior. A passion for sports business, especially motorsports, is a plus.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee social team, strategy and execution to ensure organic traffic and audience across social content channels
- Develop and execute strategy and implementation including editorial content calendars, content creation, performance forecasts and reports, marketing and insights
- Creating content for new and emerging social media platforms.
- Report on social metrics such as growth, engagement, conversation and amplification across channels and platforms on regular basis to inform strategy and meet KPI goals.
- Lead team in developing editorial posting and creation of written, photo and video content in keeping with our core brand DNA
- Develop and implement omni channel strategy
- Maintain overarching and forward-looking team calendar and social schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Video, Bidders, Consignment, VIP) to ensure editorial strategy encapsulates and supports all areas of the Barrett-Jackson business across paid and organic
- Strategize to meet KPIs and growth across all editorial and client channels and campaigns; monitor real-time data and adjust as needed to achieve desired results
- Oversee full time team plus seasonal team of influencers, creators, and social amplification managers for all creative content, including Lives on Instagram/Facebook/TikTok, TikTok content and livestreams
- Identify and develop revenue generating campaigns and custom content activations in partnership with sales and marketing.
- Manage paid social budgets
- Craft platform-endemic content strategies to distill campaign messaging uniquely to each social platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok)

Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Social Media Management
- Experience posting content to social media platforms for a brand, including usage of tools such as Sprout Social, Loomly or relatable products
- Strong Background and proven knowledge in creating content for new and emerging social media platforms.
- Concise and effective copywriting skills for social media
- Proficiency running brand and sponsor campaigns with successful results
- Willing to work extended and irregular hours
- Ability to adapt content for multiple platforms (Posts, Stories, Reels, TikTok)
- Work with a team to achieve goals on a constantly moving deadline and turning around content in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to manage/backup your media on a Media Server as you work
- Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles, and collector vehicles a plus
- Experience working in live events

Culture
Barrett-Jackson's culture is live and in-person. Team members are in the office 5 days per week, 8am to 5pm at the Scottsdale, AZ headquarters. During live events the company largely travels together to produce and ensure each event is a success. This requires weekend work and long hours.
