About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a large, regulated energy-sector organization to identify a Contract Operations Analyst to support its Transmission Business Strategy Development group. This individual will play a key role in managing, reviewing, and improving the lifecycle of applications and agreements that support critical infrastructure operations.
This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone with a background in contract administration, legal support, or agreement management who is comfortable working with high volumes of documentation and collaborating with IT teams on process improvement initiatives.
The role will begin onsite full-time to support onboarding and system knowledge transfer, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule once established. Job Description
The Contract Operations Analyst will support application-to-contract activities, focusing on agreement review, system entry, reporting, and process optimization. The team manages approximately 2,400 agreements, with this role directly responsible for reviewing and maintaining roughly 1,700 of them.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review, track, and manage agreements throughout the application-to-contract lifecycle
- Review contracts and related documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal and billing terms
- Enter, update, and maintain agreement data within contract and document management systems
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to support the development, testing, and rollout of improved process flows
- Assist with testing and validation of a new or enhanced agreement management system
- Develop and maintain reports related to agreement status, volume, and progress
- Support consistent documentation standards and process adherence across agreements
- Utilize and help optimize tools including:
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Power Automate
- Reporting and tracking tools
Qualifications
Required
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in contract operations, legal support, or a related field
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Legal studies
- Paralegal work
- Contract administration
- Financial or billing terms within agreements
- Experience reviewing contracts, agreements, or legal documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business partners
- Comfortable working onsite initially in Maple Grove, MN
Preferred
- Experience with contract or agreement management systems
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Power Automate
- Experience supporting process improvement or workflow automation initiatives
- Strong documentation, reporting, and data management skills
