Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational setting is seeking a dedicated science educator to provide engaging instruction for students in grades 6 through 12. The role focuses primarily on Earth and Physical Science as well as Biology, with a strong emphasis on integrating technology into daily lessons to enhance student learning and participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prehensive science instruction to middle and high school students, adapting lessons to varied learning levels within classes.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 8-12 students, with some classes ranging from 4-5 students due to the diverse course offerings.
- Utilize technology to support curriculum objectives and foster an interactive educational environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various courses including Vocational Agriculture, Woodworking, PE, Art, Music, Business Education, Technology, Social Studies, Mathematics, Special Education, and English.
- Participate in violence intervention and prevention training with the option to bee certified in VIP, focusing on de-escalation techniques and safe restraint methods when necessary.
- Support students in both Day Treatment and Residential settings, contributing to an environment designed for approximately 160-170 students.
Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or eligibility to bee certified through agency training.
- Experience or strong interest in science instruction for grades 6-12.

- Willingness to plete VIP training for effective behavior management.
Location: Billings, MT
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Duration: School year contract with potential for permanent placement
