Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist -- Utilities and Production Systems

Job DescriptionOwn the uptime at a cutting-edge corrugated plant

Our team in Atglen, Pennsylvania is looking for a hands-on specialist who can keep advanced production equipment and plant utilities running safely and efficiently.

Day one, here’s the challenge

Start at the boiler—verify adequate operating steam pressure. Walk the line and check for abnormal noise and vibration. Review the PM board and tackle lubrication, wear measurement, and component repositioning. If a machine goes down, you’ll pivot quickly, pull the right manual, coordinate with a vendor if needed, and restore service with precision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices while working across the plant.
• Conduct preventive maintenance using measurement and test equipment to validate conditions.
• Perform emergency and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Reference equipment manuals and technical literature to execute accurate repairs.
• Work directly with vendors and subcontractors to achieve target outcomes.
• Repair and install electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system components.
• Operate the boiler safely and maintain steam system performance.
• Prepare complete maintenance records and paperwork.
• Troubleshoot methodically, communicate status to supervision, and support teammates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (read/write/speak) for technical communication.
• Accurate use of measuring devices (e.g., micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience.
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively.

Shifts

2nd and 3rd shift opportunities; some weekends required.
