Responsibilities
Coordinates the completion of one or multiple priority projects simultaneously within Information Technology Services (ITS). Demonstrates expertise in utilizing project management principles in the execution of projects to include: conducting project feasibility studies, defining project scope, deliverables, schedules and tasks, working with vendors and their respective product implementation teams, conducting project kickoff, steering committee and team meetings, estimating duration and resource requirements, facilitating definition of business, clinical and system requirements, developing detailed project plans, working functional and resource managers to acquire needed resources, track and report on implementation escalating issues to proper management or steering committee as appropriate, and arranging for transfer from implementation to ongoing support with designated resources for such.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Experience
- 2 years of project management experience required (True project management skill set running large projects preferred)
- Experience in managing multiple projects from an overview perspective - deadlines, status reports, attend meetings, assist with ensuring follow-up is done.
- Experience in Quality Initiatives, including risk-based contracts
- Work experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting with proven project management skills preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documents, formatting, and presentation structure.
- Experience with Microsoft Planner
- Must be skilled at putting together and delivering presentations to different levels of leadership, from senior executives all the way down to staff level.
Licenses and Certifications
- PMP - Project Management Professional Certification preferred
