Customer Service Representative

Shift: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Notes:

  • Retail experience is not relevant for this role. They need to have worked at a company where they handle customers over the phone and process orders.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Hours are 8am-430pm and fully in office, no remote work
  • Reports To: Customer Service Manager
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • To come onboard, ALL candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (THC ok).
  • Interview Process – 1 onsite IV with HR & hiring manager
  • Cannot work outside of department scheduled hours (listed above)

JOB SUMMARY:
An individual is responsible for processing communication headset orders and taking incoming telephone calls from our customers.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:

  • Process new Purchase Orders.
  • Answer general end-user and dealer questions such as: Product information, Price and availability, technical assistance, Product Complaint, Repair procedure/address, Repair status request.
  • Answer customer questions and assist with finding the correct product needed for their application.
  • Interact with Sales, Production & Inventory Control, Accounting, Engineering, and Shipping Departments daily to satisfy our customers’ needs.
  • Provide Return Authorization numbers to customers returning the product for credit.
  • Coordinate Demo Loaner and Shipping Papers.
  • Track packages or give tracking numbers.
  • Assist walk-in customers.
  • Other duties as required.


LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Employees work under general supervision.
  • Employees have little or no decision-making responsibility.
  • The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone with customers.
  • Position requires employees to utilize and understand simple formatting and use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or office environment.
  • Basic, introductory on-the-job training.

Physical Demands/Efforts

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged period of being on the telephone.
  • Little or no physical exertion.

Mental & Visual Demands/Efforts

  • Work is routine and consistent from day to day.
  • Ability to work with people including those who are upset.
  • Work requires some degree of visual effort for periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards

  • Some areas of the building are not climate controlled.
  • Working environment is typical of an office setting.
  • Absence of hazards.
  • Occasional travel to trade shows when possible.
