Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated High School Science Teacher to join a charter school in Wilmington, DE. The teacher will deliver engaging instruction in science, create a supportive classroom environment, and help students succeed academically, socially, and in preparing for future opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid Delaware Teaching License with 9–12 certification in Science (or eligibility under 14 Del. C. § 1531).
Successful completion of Praxis II exams.
AP or Dual Enrollment teaching experience preferred.
Additional qualifications as determined by the school administration.

Responsibilities

Teach high school science content effectively to diverse learners.
Develop lesson plans that meet students’ individual needs and curriculum standards.
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess student progress regularly and communicate with parents as needed.
Provide individualized and small-group instruction to support learning.
Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parents to support student success.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with policies and regulations.
Serve as an advisor to a small student group, supporting academic, behavioral, and college readiness goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Requirements

Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (upon offer).
Tuberculin Test required.
Mandatory Direct Deposit for payroll.
Must be willing to relocate or commute reliably to Wilmington, DE 19805.
