Job Summary:
Our highly rated, company is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will provide direct treatment services, support clients in achieving communication goals, and assist with administrative tasks related to therapy.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct Therapy Support:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services as outlined in the treatment plan created by the supervising SLP.
- Work with clients of various ages and needs, including children, adults, and individuals with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Facilitate activities that improve articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.
- Provide feedback to the supervising SLP regarding client performance and responses to interventions.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings to review progress and adapt therapy strategies as needed.

Administrative Support:
- Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Help manage schedules, maintain therapy records, and organize documentation.

Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to state regulations and ethical guidelines for SLPAs as defined by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting, or a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with relevant training.
- Licensure/Certification: Current SLPA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners.
- Experience: Previous experience as an SLPA or in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow therapy plans and adapt activities to meet individual client needs.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work will take place in your own private office in a comfortable clinic setting.
- Some physical activity may be required, including bending, lifting, and moving therapy materials.
