Direct Counsel is partnering with a globally recognized AmLaw firm seeking a highly qualified midlevel associate to join its premier Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice.
This is a standout opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of high-stakes corporate transactions and sophisticated compensation strategy—supporting major M&A deals, executive arrangements, and equity-based incentive structures for some of the most prominent companies in the market.

• High-level drafting, structuring, and advisory work
The Ideal Candidate
We’re seeking attorneys with:
• 3+ years of law firm experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Significant experience advising on executive compensation/benefits in deals
• Expertise in drafting and administering incentive and deferred comp plans
• Bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction
• A sharp, detail-oriented approach and strong client service mindset
Compensation & Benefits
For roles based in New York, California, or Washington, D.C., the expected salary range is $225,000–$435,000, commensurate with experience.
