New Hire Starting Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour (Based on experience)

While initial offers are based on current experience, successful team members have the opportunity to reach an earning ceiling of $28.00 per hour through the internal advancement structure.

Mandatory Requirements

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Credentials: Current EMT/Paramedic certification or current enrollment in an EMT/Paramedic program
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare related setting.
- Technical Proficiencies: Basic information system training (Electronic Health Records) and general computer proficiency.
- Terminology: Working knowledge of medical terminology to accurately process registrations and clinical triaging.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team coordination and patient interaction.
Working Conditions & Requirements
- Must be able to navigate a fast-paced clinical environment and assist with patient transfers.
- Access to medications is limited to transporting items to licensed nursing staff or being present in secured storage areas during the course of duties.
Position OverviewA leading healthcare provider in the Monroeville area is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic to join a specialized Rehabilitation Unit. This role is vital in helping patients regain independence following surgery, injury, or illness. You will work 36 hours per week, providing high-quality clinical support under the direction of Registered Nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), therapeutic exercises, and mobility.
- Clinical Support: Perform essential tasks including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, specimen collection, and EKG acquisition.
- Observation & Reporting: Monitor patient status closely and provide real-time feedback to the nursing team regarding any changes in condition.
- Technical Skills: Manage complex wound care and NG tube care as required by department protocols.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all medical equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in unit activities, support the onboarding of new staff, and contribute to department-wide quality initiatives.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records in compliance with facility policies.
