The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the layout and fabrication of components using schematics to cut and/or weld components from raw metal materials in order to create finished products. The role involves assembling various mechanical components for walk-in freezers, environmental rooms, automotive test benches, calorimeters, and other custom equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work with production and engineering teams to ensure system specifications are met.
- Read and comprehend process flow and engineering schematics.
- Fabricate metal components from engineering drawings using saws, plasma cutter, bending sheet metal, and basic power tools.
- Install fabricated and purchased mechanical components using lifts or hoists if necessary, including shafts, levers, and bearings.
- Assemble packaged components including modular insulated room panels.
- Follow safety policies and practice 5S and Lean methodologies.
- Some travel may be required.
- Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Experience in building custom equipment or machinery.
- Proficiency with hand tools and possession of basic tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical abilities.
- 2-4 years of technical school training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warminster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
