Location: Springfield, GA
Job Type: Part-Time, 21 hours per week, 4pm to 8pm
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide part-time pediatric care in a home setting. This role supports a child with special medical needs, including Cerebral Palsy. The LPN will work closely with the family and clinical team to deliver safe, consistent, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct hands-on nursing care for a pediatric patient with Cerebral Palsy or related neurological conditions

Administer medications and treatments within LPN scope, following the care plan set by the supervising RN or physician

Monitor and document the patient’s daily condition, noting changes in behavior, comfort, or physical health

Support the family in routine care techniques, including safe mobility, feeding support, and equipment use

Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, repositioning, hygiene, and therapeutic exercises

Manage basic medical tasks including vital signs, gastrostomy feeding, suctioning, and equipment checks as permitted under LPN practice

Maintain accurate patient records to ensure compliance with state and agency standards

Participate in training and stay updated on pediatric care best practices
Qualifications

Active LPN License in the State of Georgia, required

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric or neurological care

Compassionate, patient focused approach with a calm bedside manner

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families and supervising clinicians

Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it before start date
Preferred Skills

Experience providing care for children with Cerebral Palsy or similar complex medical needs

Familiarity with pediatric medical equipment such as feeding pumps, suction machines, and mobility supports

Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow structured care plans
