Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Occupational Therapist (OT) | Las Cruces, NM | Full-Time or Part-Time

Location: Las Cruces, NM (with nearby candidate pools in El Paso, TX; Deming, NM; Truth or Consequences, NM; and surrounding areas)
Schedule: Full-Time preferred | Part-Time considered | Onsite only
Contract Type: School-Year Assignment
Contract Dates: August 2025 May 2026 (with potential extension for ESY through June 2026)
Potential for Renewal: High potential for continued placements

About This Opportunity
BlazerJobs is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based services for the 20252026 school year in southern New Mexico. This role offers the chance to serve a manageable caseload in a small, supportive district known for its collaborative team environment. With Las Cruces beautiful surroundings and proximity to El Paso, this is an excellent opportunity for both local and regional candidates.

Assignment Details

  • Caseload Size: Mid-40s to 50 students

  • Setting: K12 schools, itinerant across multiple campuses

  • Workload: Evaluations, assessments, direct therapy, and consultation

  • Travel: Paid travel time between campuses when required

What Were Looking For

  • Active New Mexico OT license (must be obtained prior to start date)

  • PED certification through the NM Department of Education (may begin while pending)

  • School-based experience preferred, but not required

  • Strong commitment to individualized support and collaboration
