Location: Austin, Texas
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
- Optional weekend coverage
- Evening weekday phone call for own patients
Position Overview
We are seeking an Inpatient Adult/General Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a structured inpatient setting in Austin, TX. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and flexible optional coverage.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 15–20 patients (including 3–5 new admissions)
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations
- Conduct follow-up visits and medication management
- Complete patient discharges and documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team planning
Patient Population
- Primarily adult inpatient population
Additional Opportunities
- Optional Nurse Practitioner (NP) supervision with additional stipend
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist
- Active, unrestricted medical license
Compensation
- Fee-for-service model (1099)
