Flexible Schedule | Contractor Role | $60–$70/hr (higher possible for groups 2+)
At RIO Learning Center, our students come first. We create personalized learning journeys to help each child reach their full potential. We’re seeking certified Special Education Teachers (SETSS) in NYC to provide individualized instruction to school-aged students.
Role
<ul>
<li>Provide SETSS to students with IEPs</li>
<li>Deliver high-quality, small-group or 1:1 instruction (max 8 students)</li>
<li>Monitor/document progress &amp; adapt strategies</li>
<li>Collaborate with families &amp; school teams</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>MUST HAVE NYSED certification: SWD (1–6, All Grades, B–2), Special Education Permanent, or Reading/Literacy Specialist</li>
<li>2+ years special education teaching experience</li>
<li>Experience with small-group and 1:1 instruction</li>
<li>Not currently employed by NYC DOE (nor within past 12 months)</li>
<li>Fingerprint clearance &amp; DOE approval (post-interview)</li>
