Job Summary:
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Mobile Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Mobile, AL. As a key member of our therapy department, you will assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress assessments.
Responsibilities:
• Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress assessments
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist, utilizing various techniques and modalities
• Monitor and report patient progress to therapists and other healthcare team members
• Develop and maintain a rapport with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive environment
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies or related field
• Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
• Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Alabama
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
