POSITION SUMMARY
The Injection Mold Machine Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machine(s). The Machine Technician will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. This includes the ability to resolve minor component and quality issues as required maintaining expected production results, the ability to maintain production rate as stated on each BOM and the ability to identify difference in each product and verify quality standard of each part and verify process integrity of each cycle per set up sheets and Control Plans.
CORE FUNCTIONS
· Perform preventative maintenance and can troubleshoot machine inefficiencies.
· Support and train operators on various machines.
· Operate machine to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift while performing basic adjustments to ensure safe and efficient production of products.
· Perform in-process inspections of parts throughout the production run and ensure they meet visual standards of acceptance.
· Responsible for producing parts in the proper quantity as identified by the production schedule.
· Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
· Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
· Perform operational procedures to ensure the quality of the product produced.
· Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
· Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions.
· Identify the proper tooling required for pending production.
· Inspect the condition of molds and component parts for damage and wear.
· Inspect machine, conveyer and tools in department and notify Lead that a maintenance repair form is needed, or replacement tools are required.
· Keep work cells, department, and fire-doors clear of trash and other obstructions that could hinder department performance/safety.
· Maintain condition of work area to meet 6-S standards.
· Communicate with team members and support teams. Maintain professional attitude offering support to Leads, Supervisors and Manager.
· Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist whenever and in whatever capacity needed to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
· Prior experience operating manufacturing and process control equipment required.
· Thermoforming, Injection Mold, or related machine operator experience required.
Required Licenses
· Powered Industrial Truck Certifications required

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions
The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
