Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in the Jacksonville, FL area. This position is ideal for an SLP licensed in Florida who is committed to supporting students communication needs across various grade levels.
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Position Type: Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Days: Monday through Friday
Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida SLP license required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in speech and language therapy
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and related service teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Delivering targeted therapy sessions to improve communication skills
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to support student success
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences
