Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity begins August 31, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, offering full-time hours at 37.5 hours per week. Engage with a dynamic group of approximately 6-10 students in a Setting 3 classroom, focusing on individuals with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
You’ll work within a single building, fostering consistent relationships and making a meaningful impact each day.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Active endorsement in ASD or DCD
- Previous experience teaching students with developmental and/or cognitive disabilities, especially in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with support staff and families
- Commitment to developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting instruction
- Ability to create a positive, structured environment for diverse learners
Duties Include:
- Delivering specialized instruction to students in a Setting 3 classroom
- Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other special education professionals
- Developing and monitoring IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adapting curriculum and teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Communicating progress with families and coordinating necessary supports
- Maintaining a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
