The Training and Development Manager role is responsible for developing, maintaining and administering the organization’s training programs, and ensures that the training developed meets the needs of each function and is aligned with the goals of the organization.

Essential Functions of the role:

  • Consult with management to develop and implement company training programs and workshops to employees and managers such as training profiles, On the Job Training, Train the Trainer programs, supervisory, management, work skills, and communication.
  • Design and develop training material and sources (procedures, guides, curriculum and course materials) and facilitation to meet learning objectives and accommodate a variety of learning styles while using adult learning principles.
  • Facilitate internal training and schedule external training events; this incl. training facilitation and observation at remote job sites.
  • Develop and maintain training metrics and monitor the effectiveness of training on employees using individual and/or group performance results and identify areas for improvements.
  • Collect feedback on training from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation
  • Maintain documentation of training for all applicable training types (read and understand, classroom training, OJT, off site training, etc.).
  • Participate in new employee training /orientation.
  • Plan and monitor training budget together with the Executive Officers.
  • Support and mentor new hires in cooperation with the direct supervisors.
  • Meet pre-determined goals and key performance indicators.
  • Work with other personnel to accomplish company goals.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality of all organization, personnel and research matters.
  • Compliance with applicable business processes and all programs / EHS plans.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
