Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced Ultrasound Technologist certified in General, Vascular, and Echocardiography is sought for a full-time contract position in Kalaheo, HI. This role demands proficiency across all three ARDMS-certified specialties to deliver comprehensive imaging services at a rural hospital setting. The position includes rotating day and night shifts, covering weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities, supporting patient care at two nearby medical facilities.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- ARDMS certification in General, Vascular, and Echocardiography required
- Proven ability to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound studies in all three modalities
- Experience working in a rural hospital environment preferred
- Flexibility to work overtime and cover rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties
- Residency within 20 minutes of the hospital is required due to on-call responsibilities
- Must be available to work at both assigned medical facilities
Responsibilities:
- Perform General, Vascular, and Echocardiographic ultrasound exams with accuracy and professionalism
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols and reporting requirements
- Support patient care by providing timely and reliable sonographic imaging
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to facilitate diagnostic processes
- Submit arrival and compliance documentation as required through the designated portal
Schedule / Hours:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Rotating day and night shifts
- Includes weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
Holiday Pay:
- Compensation for holidays such as New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day is based on hours worked on those days
