ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
- Receive, unpack, verify, record, label and distribute incoming shipments of WIP, raw materials and items tied directly to a job; inspect for accuracy and damage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by ensuring accurate counts, proper labeling, packaging and documentation.
- Move raw materials, WIP and any items tied directly to a job between work centers, staging areas and vendor locations.
- Identify inventory items and allow inventory control specialist group to inventory and manage product.
- Adhere to safe manufacturing and material handling practices, including LEAN and 6S initiatives.
- Operate forklifts or other industrial equipment to move materials and ensure timely delivery to work centers.
- Maintain accurate records using computer systems and manage related clerical tasks.
- Coordinate material flow across departments and communicate discrepancies or needs effectively.
- Collaborate with team members, demonstrate strong time management, and support a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Support additional production needs as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience: one – three years of relevant experience, ideally in shipping/receiving and ERP systems like Syteline/CSI.
- Proficient with Windows-based computer systems.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in compliance with safety regulations.
- Capable of reading and understanding sales orders, inventory records, and shipping/receiving documents.

- Strong attendance, work ethic, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and solving problems.
- Familiar with 6S, FIFO, and sound inventory/material flow practices.
- Solid math and analytical abilities.
