Job Description
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (New Product + Continuous Improvement)
This position requires a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. We are unable to work with visas of any kind for this particular position. (including OPT visas)
Ready to make real, visible impact on the factory floor? We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who loves solving problems, improving processes, and bringing new products to life. In this role, you’ll be at the center of new equipment launches, automation, throughput improvement, and waste reduction—helping a regulated manufacturing operation run smarter, safer, and more efficiently.
What you’ll be doing (the fun stuff)
- Own new equipment & tooling from concept to production—scope it, design it, document it, install it, validate it, and get it running strong.
- Lead projects that improve throughput, yield, and ergonomics, with a big focus on automation, mistake-proofing, and waste elimination.
- Guide and support engineers/technicians during builds, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation.
- Become a go-to technical expert for your area—jump into cross-functional teams to tackle issues and keep things moving.
- Drive new product launches and continuous improvement efforts, collaborating closely with Development Engineering and operations.
- Help get capital projects across the finish line: justify, submit, coordinate purchasing, oversee installation, and validate equipment before production release.
- Participate in structured problem-solving and quality systems work (APQP teams, plant representation, documentation).
- Support a culture of safety—partner with safety/ergonomics efforts to make the work environment better for everyone.
- Maintain key manufacturing data and documentation such as process parameters, capacity/utilization, routings, BOMs, and required production documentation in a regulated environment (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949). [
What we’re looking for
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and plant operations.
- Proven ability to juggle priorities, hit deadlines, and keep projects moving.
- Comfortable working independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (ex: SolidWorks / AutoCAD or similar). [
- Experience leading projects—both longer-term improvements and fast-turn operational problem solving.
- Familiarity with APQP or equivalent quality systems, including tools like PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, RCA, CAPA, and control plans.
Nice-to-haves
- Automotive manufacturing exposure (plus).
- ERP experience such as SAP (plus).
Why this role is exciting
If you like roles where your work shows up as real improvements—better flow, fewer headaches, smoother launches, safer processes—this is it. You’ll get variety, ownership, and the chance to drive meaningful change in a fast-moving environment.
