QA/QC Inspector

Location: Holly Springs, NC | Travel: potential for daily local travel

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Collaborate with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and third‑party inspectors to uphold quality standards and reduce rework, especially on technically complex projects.
  • Inspect incoming materials and components for biopharmaceutical use, verifying MTRs (Material Test Reports), COC, and organizing documentation to complete Material Inspection Reports (MIR) without gaps to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), EIDA, and SharePoint to document inspection results, track deficiencies, and manage project submittals in real-time.
  • ApplycGMP and GDP standards to all field observations, ensuring that all "as-built" data is accurate, legible, and ready for commissioning.
  • Identify non-conformances, initiate NCRs, and collaborate with PMs and Supervisors to implement and sign off on resolutions.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing with subcontractors, consultants, and third‑party agencies.
  • Serve as a liaison to field quality staff, ensuring construction/fabrication teams understand and follow QA/QC requirements.
  • Collaborate regularly with field supervision to maintain open communication, monitor progress, and assess subcontractor performance.
  • Review and discuss QA/QC violations or potential stop‑work situations with the QA/QC Manager and project management; clarify specifications, regulations, and procedures as needed and recommend corrective measures.
  • Verify that all contractual and regulatory quality processes have been documented, implemented, and communicated, as directed by the QA/QC Manager or Supervisor.
  • Assess products for compliance with specifications and procedures; assist in developing risk‑management strategies.
  • Perform daily visual inspections (VT and ensure 100% compliance with P&IDs and isometric drawings.
  • Maintain daily logs of quality activities and surveillance, including photo/video documentation in accordance with client privacy policies.
  • Train subcontractors on quality requirements and compliance procedures, as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required or Prior NDT Level II (VT) certification strongly preferred, consistent with SNT‑TC‑1A and endorsed by an ASNT NDT Level III.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Visual Testing (VT) experience; welding experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in high-purity and biopharmaceutical environments, with a deep understanding of the specialized components and alloys used in these facilitieS
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, technology, equipment, and processes.
  • Rigorous adherence to GDP (Good Documentation Practice) and ALCOA principles, ensuring all quality records are audit-ready
  • Advanced "power user" knowledge of construction management software, specifically ACC and EIDA, for tracking quality metrics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail when reading complex technical drawings and identifying potential stop-work situations before they lead to rework.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to plan and record QA/QC activities accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Auditing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning capabilities.
  • Advanced education and/or technical training preferred.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all jobsite‑specific access requirements, with no restrictions preventing work at any partner General Contractor, Owner, or Customer site.
