The Revenue Business Analyst generates comprehensive analyses, database implementation and management, recurring reporting and business intelligence for multiple functions. This role also maintains pricing data systems and coordinates operational system’s needs. Tests software releases to ensure system applications are performing correctly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
System Administration and Maintenance
-
Protect the stability of various Pricing and Cost Applications and ensure the integrity of the data involved.

Assess, coordinate and review issues and impacts to support and business processes. Analyze, document and communicate application issues to management and programming team.

Documents business and functional system requirements. Write SIT, UAT, and regression test scripts. Create necessary SQL scripts and testing evidence to correct system data.

Responsible for requesting, tracking, testing for all changes needed in the Team Foundation Server Portal.

Uses customer service skills to identify the root of the problem being reported. Demonstrates the skill and ability to effectively provide quality support in a high volume environment

Escalates obstacles/issues in a timely manner.

Reports project status according to prescribed timelines.
Data Analysis
-
Develops business analytics for cost and pricing. Including developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on data and statistical methods.

Analyzes external market dynamics and internal data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights. Applies knowledge of data auditing, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory modeling, and fact-based management to support recommendations.

Develops polished executive-level Power BI reports and confidently delivers information in a clear and concise fashion.

Coordinate and communicate between business users and the data warehouse organization, balancing requirements and resources to solve business problems.

Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets. Writes ad hoc reports, builds tabular reports, visualizations, and Excel pivot tables or macros to review and report data.

Communicates effectively with Corporate and Field users.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related discipline.
Experience
-
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role.

One (1) year of experience using Power BI to build metrics/KPIs dashboards with refreshable data connections.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, aggregations, subqueries, and joins to extract and manipulate data from relational databases

Communicates effectively in both written and oral.

Knowledge in operational business processes and systems.
-
Proficient in various software programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Experience writing TSQL, view, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Demonstrates knowledge of process improvement
-
Understanding of databases, logic views, query tools, and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces.
-
Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Experience writing Excel VBA macros a plus.
