Job Title - Technical Writer (Hardware)
Job Location - Lutz, FL (Onsite)
Role – Fulltime
Job Description:
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Gain deep understanding of products and translate complex information into comprehensive, accurate, and standards compliant content.
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success
Responsibilities:
- Examine hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection, interpret specifications/manuals, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics to create documentation
- Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
Required skills and qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree
- One or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
- Fluent verbal and written English
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in working with engineers to improve understanding, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams
- Ability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously
