Bookkeeper | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $51,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and collections.
- Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification of transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Monitor and track inventory costs for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Prepare basic financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems relevant to manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close processes.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills for financial accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics 365).
- Understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., inventory valuation, WIP).
- Proficiency in advanced Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
