Job DescriptionOFFOR Health is seeking a mid-level HR Manager – People & Culture to serve as the internal face of Human Resources. As we grow beyond 150 employees across four states and multiple clinical service lines, this new role will support employee engagement, operational HR needs, and cultural alignment across our distributed workforce.
The HR Manager will work closely with our HR services partner, Blackwell HR, to ensure smooth coordination of benefits, payroll, and systems administration while leading the day-to-day internal HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, leave coordination, and policy support. This individual will be instrumental in bringing a personal, human-centered approach to HR—building trust, solving problems, and nurturing our mission-focused culture.ResponsibilitiesOrientation & Onboarding
- Lead new hire orientation sessions, ensuring an engaging and consistent onboarding experience.
- Coordinate with Outreach Promos for welcome kits and stipend processes.
- Serve as the point of contact for onboarding follow-ups and documentation.
- Support hiring managers in readiness and role-based onboarding planning.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, escalating as needed to Blackwell.
- Provide employee coaching, issue resolution, and guidance on performance management.
- Support or lead corrective action and termination conversations.
- Uphold OFFOR’s core values and promote culture-building initiatives.
Policy, Handbook, & Documentation
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and state-specific addenda with Blackwell support.
- Draft and manage policy acknowledgments, internal memos, and job descriptions.
- Help interpret HR policies and practices, balancing compliance and culture.
Leave & Offboarding Management
- Coordinate and track leave cases (FMLA, ADA, short-term disability) in partnership with Blackwell.
- Manage offboarding including exit interviews, letters, and IT coordination.
- Advise on state-specific termination rules and documentation.
Internal HR Coordination & Administration
- Triage requests from the HR inbox and route to the appropriate party (e.g., benefits, IT, Blackwell).
- Coordinate employment verifications and prepare status change letters.
- Participate in the implementation of HR projects or initiatives at the direction of leadership.
Collaboration with Blackwell HR
- Act as liaison with Blackwell for:
- Payroll coordination and data collection (not execution).
- Benefit enrollment escalations and COBRA support.
- Paylocity-related troubleshooting, reporting, and stipend tracking.
- 401(k) enrollment materials and coordination.
Required SkillsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, including multi-state support.
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations with empathy and professionalism.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour, and other employment laws.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms; experience with Paylocity preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Experience supporting a mix of W2 and 1099 employees is a plus.
