The role also involves tracking project costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring alignment between financial reporting and operational performance.

This individual will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, and enhancing systems (including ERP platforms like NetSuite) to drive efficiency and provide better insights to leadership.

  • Prepare and review financial statements across multiple entities
  • Oversee cash flow management, including weekly forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Analyze job costs, budgets, and project performance to drive profitability insights
  • Manage construction requisitions and support AIA billing activities
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and monitor performance against projections
  • Enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to provide actionable financial insights and support strategic decisions

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction or a multi-entity environment
  • Strong knowledge of job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and AIA billing
  • Background in public accounting or related industry experience preferred
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) and a passion for process improvement
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Compensation & Growth

This role offers a competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The Assistant Controller will work closely with an experienced leadership team, gaining valuable exposure and positioning themselves for continued growth as the company expands.
