Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join their team on a per diem basis starting April 1. This specialty retail pharmacy focuses on providing specially packaged medications for nursing home residents. The position offers consistent weekday hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions accurately, counseling patients to ensure proper medication use, and utilizing the Pioneer RX system to manage pharmacy operations. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential in meeting the specialized needs of this patient population.

Qualifications:

Active Illinois State Pharmacist License
Experience as a Staff Pharmacist or Pharmacist in retail or specialty pharmacy settings
Familiarity with Pioneer RX preferred but not required
Strong medication verification and patient counseling skills

Schedule:

Per diem, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
